The quality of some of the scans leaves much to be desired. But it should be appreciated that some of the originals are up to 40 years old. Also the later format is a bit too large for my scanner and a few bits are inevitably chopped off. Apologies for that.
I have converted most of these files from pdf to HTML versions, so they should be easier and faster to load. [Adobe Reader is required for viewing some shorter files]

News items
Small item in Al HaMishmar, June 18, 1970.
Article with pictures in Kibbutz Artzi's publication HaShavua, June 19, 1970. We did smoke a lot in those days! - just cigarettes, of course.
HaShavua of 5th February 1971. Contains quotes from John Hardisty, Sarah Shapiro and Michael Enbar ["We don't want to set up an American ghetto."].
Letter from Irma Lindheim ("Rama") - the 3rd President of Hadassah - written on April 8th 1971, on the eve of our first Pesach celebration on Adamit.
Hadassah Magazine article January 1972 - "Rebel Grandma and Her Rebel Kibbutz". Incidentally the "bedbug-infested shack" that the article refers to as being Rama's living quarters when she first arrived on Kibbutz Mishmar Ha'Emeq, was where I and Claudia spent some months together just before we became candidates. It has since been moved to another part of the kibbutz and refurbished as a "monument-cum-memorial" - see a recent picture we took on our last visit. I also managed to find another old photo from our Mishmar Ha'Emeq days - here is Rama's "shack" when we occupied it, with Amosi's parents and Claudia's father outside. We thought it was a great little "love-nest" at the time, bugs or no bugs! In fact, the worst infestation was a wasp's nest in the Bougainvilleia outside.
News item in Yediot Achronot of 21st April 1971 - "An initial experiment is being conducted on Adamit to settle young Americans, many of whom were Beatniks". We were to be dogged by this image for some time owing to articles like this.
Article in the Jerusalem Post [in English] describing the Tekes Aliya when Adamit officially became a reborn kibbutz .
