Hello friends

For some it has been a difficult year... wars and their consequences

Health has also come into play....with some from our younger generation, parents, and even as we age, amongst our friends....battling illness and fortunately overcoming it.

There have been marriages and just a few births recorded.

We were graced by visits from a number of friends from abroad, and hope that the momentum for just such an inflow of distinguished guests and loved ones continues.

We wish all, friends and family alike a happy healthy and prosperous New Year!!!

On the advent of this new autumn season, with just a few handsomely smooth Ettinger avocados already in the bin.

A few crinkly palimpsest poems and a painting by Hedy Pagremanksi on a readily Jewish epicure's palate, knishes in New York, [Yonah Schimmel Knish Bakery] almost seemed too appropriate

Sun [after Pierre Reverdy]

The room has just gone by

Someone
In the sun
Has just left
A sigh.......

In the street
                   ......where
Life is deserted
Like the room
                        Through the green window
                                                                    Where a ray of sunshine
                                                                                                              Like a ray of hope
Filters in.

Untitled [after Guillaume  Apollinaire]

Beneath the bridge flows our Love.
And the river?
Must I remember it as well?

Things inscrutable come before visions
of clarity.
